Easy as ordering pizza

I can't believe I'm admitting this...but I don't really like to cook on Thursdays. It's kind of a night to just chill, so I usually save my quickest, easiest meal ideas for Thursdays. Tonight we had:

Pear and Blue Cheese Flatbreads

Here's what you need:
Flatbreads (usually sold near the grocery store deli)
Small sweet onion, thinly sliced
Pear, thinly sliced
Blue Cheese
Crumbled bacon
Olive oil

Drizzle the oil and honey on each flatbread. Lay onion and pear slices evenly on the flatbread. Then, sprinkle blue cheese and top with some bacon pieces.

Bake at 350 degrees for about 12 minutes. One round flatbread is a perfect single serving.

  1. Ok, this is perfect for my Monday nights when I drive back from Pittsburgh in the morning and do all of my grocery shopping that evening and need a quick meal. Thank you!

  3. This sounds great. I'm making it for my knitting group on Thursday to have with our soup. Any idean for dessert?

  4. Here's a dessert that we love to make. I think it would go really great with that pizza.
Take a slice of pound cake, spread a thin layer of butter on each side and grill or fry it until it gets a little crispy (you could probably put it in the oven too). Then top with a scoop of vanilla ice cream and drizzle with honey. It's so delicious!
